School Sport Physical Activity Network (SSPAN)

Melton & Belvoir SSPAN is a network which includes a School Games Organiser (SGO), Head Teachers, PE Staff, Sports Clubs and the Melton Sport & Health Alliance who work in partnership to develop and deliver a wide range of opportunities to increase engagement in the School Games, develop competitive opportunities, increase and sustain participation and develop the workforce across the local primary schools, secondary schools and FE colleges.

The Melton & Belvoir SSPAN also works closely with the Melton Borough Council, by delivering programmes/interventions to address local priorities such as physical inactivity, Obesity & Mental Health in our primary, secondary & colleges within the Melton Borough. We also sit on the Local Sport Alliance Forum.
